The Defining You Program
Performance from the inside out.
An innovative one of a kind program that weaves psychology into movement - building confidence, resilience, focus, and deeper connection you can feel in every part of life.
We train the body hard but neglect the mind. And even at the highest levels, we miss the game-changing power of training them together.
The Defining You Approach
We spend years training our bodies, and sometimes we train our minds. But almost never do we train them together. That’s the gap. And it’s why even the most talented people struggle to reset after mistakes, keep doubt in check, or stay steady when the pressure hits.
This program builds psychology into movement - so the skills don’t just stay in your head, they become habits in your body. That’s what makes them stick.
You’ll learn to:
Recover fast from mistakes — reset, refocus, and move forward.
Swap self-doubt for trust — quiet the critic, strengthen the coach.
Stay calm and focused under pressure — perform when it counts.
Feel more grounded and connected — with yourself and the people around you.
Why It’s Different?
This isn’t theory or therapy. It’s not another lecture or self-help book gathering dust. And it’s not your standard coaching either.
What sets Defining You apart is how the skills are built. Confidence, resilience, focus, and connection aren’t just explained — they’re trained into movement. Through carefully structured activities, they shift from something you know in your head to something you can rely on under pressure.
The same systems that drive action also shape identity, learning, and resilience - the science I explore in Mirror Thinking. Across more than 20 years of profiling and coaching people under pressure - leaders, surgeons, athletes, creatives - one truth stood out: the mind and body are never trained together.
Defining You brings them together for the first time, so the skills you learn are the ones you live.

How it works
Group sessions that weave proven psychology into movement. Tools are taught in action, not in lectures, so they become part of who you are.
Born from what I saw with my own daughter as she transitioned into U.S. sport at 16 and from decades of experience in psychology and high performance this program gives young women the tools to thrive, not just compete.
Why Me?
I’m Fiona Murden psychologist, award-winning author, and coach.
For over two decades I’ve profiled and coached thousands of people under pressure - from CEOs and surgeons to elite athletes and creatives. My books (Defining You and Mirror Thinking) explore what I’ve seen time and again: self-awareness and connection are the foundations of real performance.
But one paradox stood out: I watched world-class athletes and leaders train harder and harder, yet still come undone under pressure. They didn’t lack talent or drive, what they lacked was the integration of mind and body. I’d studied the science, written about it, seen it in practice, but the penny hadn’t fully dropped.
That moment came when I moved countries and lost the safety nets I’d always relied on. Suddenly, I had to live what I’d been teaching - reconnecting with myself, managing my mindset, and rebuilding from the inside out. That experience made it crystal clear: the skills don’t stick when they stay in the head. They have to be trained into how we live and move.
That’s why I created this program, to bring together the proven science never typically applied, the lessons of thousands of high performers, and the lived experience of having to walk it myself.

Not at all. Many clients are executives, musicians, or creatives. What you do need is openness to light, accessible movement (like walking or simple activities) as part of the process. This can also be tied into whatever your normal exercise routine is or even your sports activities. But it’s about integrating psychology into movement not training to be a pro-athlete.
-
Because the science shows skills practiced in movement stick. When mind and body are trained together, you can rely on those skills under pressure. They become part of who you are, not just something you’ve read or talked about.
