Beyond Defining You

We spend 12 years teaching kids calculus they'll Google in 5 seconds.
Zero hours teaching them how to handle disagreement without falling apart.

Then we wonder why smart people are disasters in relationships, leadership, and life.

For 200,000 years, humans learned emotional regulation through tribal community and natural ways of life. Decision-making through elder mentorship. Conflict resolution by watching adults navigate real stakes daily.

We replaced all of this with isolated classrooms and standardized tests. Then we're surprised when graduates can build algorithms but can't build relationships.

This is educational malpractice on a global scale.

The cost?

$4 trillion annually in workplace dysfunction, mental health crises, and relationship breakdown. Not to mention the innovation we're losing because brilliant people can't collaborate or handle uncertainty.

We can patch symptoms with therapy, training and team-building exercises, but we really need to rebuild the learning systems that actually work.

I want to reimagine how communities and institutions develop and support the human capabilities essential for thriving in complexity.

This work is both deeply personal and urgently societal. Every person who develops these capabilities breaks the cycle for the next generation. Every leader who masters human skills alongside technical competence models what's possible.

I can’t do this alone. Please join me in making this vision a reality.
